Colonel James BROWNING Jr. 
James was born on October 2nd, 1768 in Culpeper Co., VA.. James' father was Captain James BROWNING and his mother was Susannah HICKMAN. His paternal grandparents were Frank (Frank) III and Frances Eman Norman. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Caleb, Micajah, Frank, Mary and Anna. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 56 on July 7th, 1825 in Clark Co., KY..General Notes
