Francis Strother was born on April 9th, 1805 in Culpeper Co., VA.. Francis Strother's father was Lieutenant John BROWNING Sr. and his mother was Betty (Betty). His paternal grandparents were Frank (Frank) III and Frances Eman Norman. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named George Strother, John Dabney, William Winston, Charles Dabney, Oliver Winston, Mary Wade, Mary Elizabeth, Lucy, Fannie, Elizabeth, Nancy, Millie and Sally. He was the youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 79 on December 9th, 1884.General Notes
