Sarah R. was born on January 23rd, 1816 in Iredell Co., N.C.. Sarah R.'s father was Sampson Harrison BALL and her mother was Rosanna NORMAN. Her maternal grandparents were James Madison NORMAN Sr. and Ruth ROBERTS. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named William F., James W., Elijah Young, Enoch J., David N., Daniel N., Thomas M., Anna C., Ruth M., Elizabeth, Mary Adaline, Margaret Emline, Nancy Clementine and Rebecca June. She was the third oldest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 73 on June 19th, 1889 in Buncombe Co., N.C.. She was buried in Morgan Hill, N. C..-
