Anna C. was born on June 23rd, 1814. Anna C.'s father was Sampson Harrison BALL and her mother was Rosanna NORMAN. Her maternal grandparents were James Madison NORMAN Sr. and Ruth ROBERTS. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named William F., James W., Elijah Young, Enoch J., David N., Daniel N., Thomas M., Sarah R., Ruth M., Elizabeth, Mary Adaline, Margaret Emline, Nancy Clementine and Rebecca June. She was the second oldest of the fifteen children.-
