Samuel Albert Shanklin 
Samuel Albert was born on December 21st, 1853 in Mays Lick, (Mason Co.) Kentucky.1 Samuel Albert's father was James Hopkins Shanklin and his mother was Agnes Virginia Poage. His paternal grandparents were John Hopkins Shanklin and Sally Metcalf; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Hoge Poage and Nancy Allen Frame. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John Thomas, William Pickett, Robert Anderson, Nannie Pogue and Sally Metcalf. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died in Helena, Kentucky.1 -
