Nannie Pogue Shanklin 
Nannie Pogue was born on May 30th, 1858 in Millersburg, (Mason Co.) Kentucky.1 Nannie Pogue's father was James Hopkins Shanklin and her mother was Agnes Virginia Poage. Her paternal grandparents were John Hopkins Shanklin and Sally Metcalf; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Hoge Poage and Nancy Allen Frame. She had four brothers and a sister, named John Thomas, William Pickett, Samuel Albert, Robert Anderson and Sally Metcalf. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 48 on July 23rd, 1906 in Carlisle, Kentucky.1 -
