Elizabeth was born in April 1882 in Montgomery Co., Georgia.  Elizabeth's father was Benjamin Morris and her mother was Mary (Unknown).  Her paternal grandparents were James A. Morris and Margaret (Unknown). She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Charles, Bishop, Alice and Hattie.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.
