Julian Pierce was born on October 19th, 1901 in Montgomery Co., Georgia.1   Julian Pierce's father was Joseph Saul Jefferson and his mother was Frances Bailey.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson and Matilda McConte; his maternal grandparents were Henry James Bailey and Margaret Conway. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Thomas William, John Solomon, Norman, Edward, James Dan, Susan Roselie, Margaret Catherine, Annie, Lela, Eva and Ethel.  He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Curtis Lee and Alice Matilda.  He died at the age of 79 on January 15th, 1981.  He was buried in Holly Springs, Texas.1 1
