Living's father was Isaac Chambers Goins and her mother was Lucie Frances Jenkins. Her paternal grandparents were John Gilford Goins and Angeline Tony Parker. She had four brothers and two sisters, named (Unknown), John Lewis Allen, Howard, Lester, Elizabeth Jane (Janie) and Alma. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James Howard, Lester B., (Unknown), Gertie May and Mary Alma Frances.-
