Viola Gartrell 
Viola was born on April 9th, 1863 in Ashland, (Greenup Co.) Kentucky.1 Viola's father was Henry Clay Gartrell and her mother was Eliza Jane Pogue. Her maternal grandparents were John Hopkins Pogue and Sarah Ann Moore. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Richard Moore, John Hopkins, Henry Clay, Ethelbert Hopkins, Anne Maria and Virginia. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She died in Ashland, (Greenup Co.) Kentucky.1 -
