Bartholomew Applegate 
Bartholomew was born in 1620 in Middletown, (Monmouth Co.), New Jersey.1 Bartholomew's father was Thomas Applegate and his mother was Elizabeth Mary Wall. His paternal grandfather was John Applegate. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John Daniel, Thomas B., Helena, Margaret B. and Arien. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 70 in 1690.1
