d.ca 1748; m.ca 1676. Rep.in 1700-24. He owned "Hubbard Lots" which his father left him when he rem. to Hadley,MA and which were augmented by purchase of George Wyllis tract of 185 acres. On this tract is located old cemetary which adjoins the meeting house green donated to the town by John Hubbard & Samuel Smith. He served as Deputy to the Conn. Gen. Assembly, May and Oct. 1700, Oct.1704, May 1705, May 1706, Oct. 1707, May and Oct. 1714, May and Oct. 1715, May and Oct 1716. May and Oct 1717, Oct 1718, Oct 1720, Oct 1721, May 1722, May and Oct.1723, May 1724 (Colonial Records of Connecticut, 4:318, 328, 482, 499, 532; 5:29, 424, 490,519, 546, 572,;6:2, 19, 68, 206, 270, 304, 367, 411,440) He was called Sergeant in most of the earlier entries. This service makes him a qualifying ancestro for the societies of Colonial Wars and Colonial Dames.
John Hubbard of Glastonbury conveyed for love to his son, Isaac Hubbard, 18 Jan 1725, and to his son, David Hubbard, 18 Jan 1725/6 (Glastonbury Deeds, 4:30, 132).
