Narrative

[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 1, Ed. 1, Tree #3857, Date of Import: Oct 22, 1998]
The following is taken from the copy of the 1853 Nash Genealogy hand-copied by Charles A. Nash of Platte, S. Dak. He was a carpenter. His house was the first south of the present residence of John B. Nash in Granby, where a two story house now stands. He appears to have been an active, enterprising man, frequently a prominent actor in town affairs. He was one of the selectmen of the town of Granby,3-7-70, and together with his brother, Lieut. Eleazer Nash, town surveyor, laid out a road for the town. The last time he is mentioned in the Granby records is in the record of a town meeting on Jan. 10, 1774 of which Aaron was the moderator. He must have move to Brattleboro, Vt. soon afterword as his first deed of purchase there [of John Houghton] was dated May 4, 1774. There is no record of his or his wife's death.
