Mary Ann was born in 1764 in Farmington-Avon, Hartford, Connecticut.1 Mary Ann's father was Josiah Wilcox and her mother was Elizabeth Curtis. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Wilcox and Hannah Sage; her maternal grandparents were Ephraim Curtis and Elizabeth Stiles. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Josiah, Ezra, Eleazer Curtis, Jesse, Ann, Louisa, Salome, Hannah, Elizabeth, Anna and Lovice.2 -
