Josiah was born on November 7th, 1666.1   Josiah's father was Josiah Whitcomb and his mother was Rebecca Waters.  His paternal grandparents were John Whitcomb and Frances Coggan. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Josiah, Hezekiah, David, Rebecca, Mary, Abigail, Damaris and Joanna.1
