Ichabod was born in 1725.1   Ichabod's father was John Wheeler and his mother was Lydia Porter.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Wheeler and Sarah Unknown. He had four brothers and a sister, named Obadiah, Daniel, Jabez, John and Mary. He had seven half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Joseph, John, Thomas, Jonathan, Nathan, Ebenezer, John, Sarah, Abigail, Thankful, Sarah, Abigail, Mary, Elizabeth and Ann.1
