Elizah was born in 1809 in Orwell, Vt..1   Elizah's father was Samuel Webster and his mother was Hannah Bisbee.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Webster and Elizabeth Unknown. He had a sister named Elma.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Samuel, Warren and Lucy.1
