Nicholas Vandergrift 
Nicholas was born in 1693 in New Utrecht, Kings, NY.1 Nicholas' father was Nicholas Jacobsz Vandergrift and his mother was Barentjie Verkerk. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Leendsten Vandergrift and Rebecca Lubbersten; his maternal grandparents were Jan Verkerk and Styntje Jansd. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, Jan (John), Rebecca, Micah and Deborah. He died at the age of 52 in 1745.1 -
