Abigail was born on October 21st, 1704 in East Haven, New Haven, CT.1   Abigail's father was Samuel Thompson and her mother was Abigail Potter.  Her paternal grandparents were John Thompson and Priscilla Powell; her maternal grandparents were John Potter and Mary Hitchcock. She had a brother and three sisters, named Samuel, Sarah, Mary and Mehitabel.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 8 on December 28th, 1712.1
