William Thomas 
William was born in 1846 in Scott, Tennessee.1 William's father was Stephen Thomas and his mother was Sarah Reed. His maternal grandparents were Isaac Reed and Phariba [Rachel] Hatfield. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Joseph, Isaac, Kezia and Mary. He was the youngest of the six children.1 -
