Jeremiah was born about 1756.1   Jeremiah's father was Jeremiah Theus and his mother was Cathrina Elizabeth Schaumloffel.  His paternal grandparents were Simeon Theus and Anna Wolser. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Simeon, John, Ann and Elizabeth. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named George, Samuel, Charlotte and Mary.1
