Oliver was born on February 24th, 1829 in Mackinac Island,  Michigan.1   Oliver's father was Peter Isaac Therrien and his mother was Angelique Bouchard. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Jean Baptiste, Alex, Josette, Margureite, Ester, Marie Angelique, Elizabeth and Mary A..  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died about 1859 in Mackinac County, Michigan.1
