Stephen Taylor 
Stephen was born about 1618 in England.1 Stephen's father was Robert Taylor and his mother was Thomasyne Smallridge. His paternal grandparents were Robert Taylor and Agnes Downe; his maternal grandfather was Richard Smallridge. He was an only child. He died on September 1st, 1688 in Windsor, Connecticut.1 General Notes

No record remains of Stephen's arrival in New England. Probably settled first in Dorchester, Massachusetts before moving to Windsor. Was at Windsor before 1 Nov 1642 when he married his first wife. Stephan and Sarah inherited property of Wiliam Horsford. Stephen admitted to church at Windsor March 1644. Stephen sold the Horsford Place in 1656.
