Nathaniel was born in MA or CT.1   Nathaniel's father was Aaron Taylor and his mother was Hannah Smith.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Taylor and Miriam Keet. He had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel, Sarah and Hannah. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Obed, Aaron, Assenath, Ruth, Mariam and Jemima.1
