Edward Richard was born on July 18th, 1830 in Breage  Leicester  England.1   Edward Richard's father was Edward Taylor and his mother was Ann Bawden.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Taylor and Prudence Unknown; his maternal grandparents were William Bawden and Ann Unknown. He had four brothers named Edwin, William Henry, John Bawden and Alfred.  He was the oldest of the five children.1
