John Summers 
John was born in 1818 in Virginia.1 John's father was David Summers and his mother was Margaret Howard. His paternal grandparents were Michael Summers and Molly Acker. He had eight brothers and a sister, named Abraham, Samuel, Henry, Michael, Richard, Reuben, Thomas, Allen and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the ten children.
