Rachel was born on August 19th, 1737 in Lebanon, Connecticut.1   Rachel's father was John Sprague and her mother was Hannah Burt.  Her paternal grandparents were John Sprague and Lydia Unknown; her maternal grandfather was Thomas Burt. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas and Hulda.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ebenezer, Jonathan and Hannah.1
