John Walter Skeldon 
John Walter was born in December 1879 in Braidwood, Illinois.1 John Walter's father was Adam Skeldon and his mother was Mary Jane Chalmers. His paternal grandparents were Adam Skeldon and Anne Black; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Chalmers and Catherine Gilroy. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Adam, William, George, David Leonard, Benjaman Chalmers, Albert Edward, Even Daniel, Catherine, Ann Black and Eleanor Jane. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.1 -
