James Daniel Simmons 
James Daniel was born on February 13th, 1856.1 James Daniel's father was Henry Simmons and his mother was Lydia Parsons. His paternal grandparents were James Simonds and Martha Cook. He had four brothers and six sisters, named George Habbakuk, Elijah, Daniel, Charles H., Martha, Naomi, Mary Ann, Edith, Margaret Ann and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.1 -
