Abigail was born in 1631 in England.1   Abigail's father was Edward Shepard and her mother was Violet Welterton.  Her paternal grandparents were John Shepard and Rebecca Waller; her maternal grandfather was Unknown Wolterton. She had a brother and three sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Deborah and Sarah.  She was the third oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 30 on July 5th, 1661 in Dedham, Massachusetts.1
