Bert C. was born on June 21st, 1887.1   Bert C.'s father was P Leonard Johnson and his mother was Jennie Pierce.  His paternal grandparents were William Shannon and Ann Dayton; his maternal grandparents were Albert Pierce and Emilia Campbell. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Albert A., Leland K., Mabel and Hazel M..  He was the oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Edward, Edith M and Gladys.  He died at the age of 60 in 1947.1
