Gilchrist Shackelford

Gilchrist was born in 1876.¹ Gilchrist's father was George Washington Shackelford and his mother was Mary (Molly) Gilchrist. His maternal grandparents were James Graham Gilchrist and Elizabeth Briggs. He had a brother and a sister, named Angus and Sallie. He was the oldest of the three children.¹
