John Harvey Setter 
John Harvey was born on March 26th, 1892 in Sanilac County, Michigan. John Harvey's father was Jacob Setter and his mother was Saloma Jobe. His paternal grandparents were Nikolaus Setter and Elizabeth Tuer. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Alonzo Henry, LeRoy, Otto B., Harry, Mary Delilah and Olive Agusta. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 89 on March 13th, 1982 in Royal Oak, Michigan.General Notes

Built several houses in Troy on 17 Mile Road (Wattles Road). He started with a red brick house then moved a two story farm house from the other side of the road Next door to it. He built a small frame house for his daughter, Lila, at the back of the property which could be reached from a gravel road off of Crokks Road. That road was later named Laril Lane. He built another house for his son, Everett, on the east side of the same property.
