Ida Adella was born on March 6th, 1861 in Payson, UT.1   Ida Adella's father was John Courtland Searle and her mother was Maria Josephine Hill.  Her paternal grandparents were Breed Searle and Rebecca Ann Saxton; her maternal grandparents were Leonard Hill and Sally Forbush. She had nine brothers and a sister, named Charles Courtland, Leonard Breed, George Alison, Frederick Augustus, Franklin Emerald, Garry Norman, William Hill, Asa Lyman, Cyrus Ray and Rosa Bell.  She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She had three half-sisters named Eleanor Maria, Sarah Ann and Lillie Oranna.  She died at the age of 74 on July 15th, 1935.1
