Walter's baptism took place on November 6th, 1720 in Kirktoun, Lnrk, Sctl.1   Walter's father was Andrew Scott and his mother was Jean Simpson. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named William, John, James, Nathaniel, Samuel, Thomas, Andrew, Jean and Rachell.1
