Carl Freiderich was born on March 7th, 1909.1   Carl Freiderich's father was Carl J. Schmidt and his mother was Sophia Selbrede.  His maternal grandparents were Wilhelm (William) Selbrede and Marie Klusman. He had two brothers and a sister, named Leo Heinrich, Arnold Christian and Marie (Mamie).  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 65 on April 26th, 1974 in La Crosse, La Crosse, Wisconsin.  He was buried on April 30th, 1974 in West Salem, La Crosse, Wisconsin.1 1
