Raymond Leslie was born on June 18th, 1886 in Bucksport, Maine.1 Raymond Leslie's father was John W. Sawyer and his mother was Minnie Nancy Hutchings. His paternal grandparents were James H. Sawyer and Hannah Mann; his maternal grandparents were James Cooke Hutchings and Emeline Lawrence. He had three brothers and a sister, named Edwin John, Frederick Wesley, William R. and Chloe J.. He was the second youngest of the five children.1 -
