Miriam was born in 1846.1   Miriam's father was John Sanger and her mother was Hannah Eckis. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, James William, John, Simeon S., Elijah E., George A., Martha Ann, Cynthia Ann and Charlotte.  She was the youngest of the ten children.1
