Charlotte was born in 1844.1   Charlotte's father was John Sanger and her mother was Hannah Eckis. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, James William, John, Simeon S., Elijah E., George A., Martha Ann, Cynthia Ann and Miriam.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.1
