Mattie Francis Rowland

Mattie Francis was born in 1901 in Bettyville, Kentucky.¹ Mattie Francis' father was William Henry Rowland and her mother was Susan Thomas. Her maternal grandparents were Elisha Thomas and Elizabeth Bowman. She had two brothers and five sisters, named William Dillard, Louis Willard, Florie Jane, Molly Elizabeth, Dennie Belle, Lettie Bee and Bertha Rudoll. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 17 in 1918 in Kentucky.¹
