1   Walter Scott's father was Scott Lefever Rountree and his mother was Georgia Thompson.  His paternal grandparents were John Rountree and Sarah Ann Scott. He had two brothers and a sister, named John Asa, John Harrison and Mary Eugenia. He had a half-brother named Joe Lefever.1
