Edna was born on January 30th, 1881.1   Edna's father was Charles Ridge and her mother was Esther Lucretia Bassett.  Her maternal grandfather was Peter Norton Bassett. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Chester, Harold, Elsie, Esther Alma and Hazel.1
