Beata Pladson 
Beata was born on April 7th, 1873 in Kenset, Iowa.1 Beata's father was Osten Halvorsen Pladson and her mother was Hage Midboe. Her maternal grandparents were Torger O. Midboe and Sigri Utabjaa. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Halvor O., Sever, Sam, Tena, Gina, Inger Maria and Sophia. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 95 on April 22nd, 1968. She was buried in Northwood Cemetry, North Dakota.1 1 General Notes

When she was five years old the family moved by covered wagon to the Dakota Territory, settling in Newburg township in Steele County, June 1878. Beata attended Arvilla Academy at Arvilla, North Dakota. She gave lessons in piano and painting. She made her home in California, Hollywood, from 1923 to 1962. She returned to North Dakota, Nelson Farm near Finley.
