Anne was born on September 11th, 1569.1   Anne's father was James Phelps and her mother was Joan Coke.  Her paternal grandfather was Richard Phelps. She had nine brothers and a sister, named William, Thomas, George, Giles, Edward, Kenelm, Richard, Robert, Nicholas and Alice.  She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.1
