Eleanor D. was born on September 17th, 1862 in Screven Co., GA.1 Eleanor D.'s father was Dempsey Peel and her mother was Ellender Sasser. Her maternal grandparents were Howell Sasser and Susan A. Bell. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Howell, John, Susan A., Annie Laura, Emma and Beuna A.. She died at the age of 53 on February 2nd, 1916.1 General Notes
