John was born on June 27th, 1696.1   John's father was John Peckham and his mother was Mary Bennett.  His paternal grandparents were John Peckham and Sarah Newport. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Return, Lydia, Margaret, Ruth and Mary.1
