John was born on June 9th, 1673.1   John's father was John Peckham and his mother was Sarah Newport.  His paternal grandparents were John Peckham and Mary Clarke. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Peleg, Timothy, Benjamin, Isaac, Reuben, Joseph, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah and Sarah.  He died at the age of 49 on December 2nd, 1722 in Little Compton, RI.1
