James H. was born on May 30th, 1857 in Screven Co., GA.1   James H.'s father was Henry Parker and his mother was Margaret Zeigler.  His paternal grandparents were James Parker and Elizabeth Sasser; his maternal grandparents were Solomon Zeigler and Charity Howard. He had four brothers and a sister, named John Tom, Solomon L., George B., Walton M. and Sarah L..  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 16 on July 16th, 1873.1
