Samuell was born on April 7th, 1683 in Salem, MA.1   Samuell's father was Richard Palmer and his mother was Mary Gilbert.  His paternal grandparents were John Palmer and Ruth Acy; his maternal grandfather was Humphrey Gilbert. He had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Mary and Martha.  He was the youngest of the four children.1
