Martha was born on June 21st, 1678.1   Martha's father was Richard Palmer and her mother was Mary Gilbert.  Her paternal grandparents were John Palmer and Ruth Acy; her maternal grandfather was Humphrey Gilbert. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Samuell and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the four children.1
